Who We Are

Who we are

A sisterhood, before it is anything else.

The sisterhood

These are the women of LAMC.

LAMC, the Ladies Care Club, began in 2017, quietly, among friends.

Since then, by God’s grace, we have grown: in monthly savings, in fellowship, in care for those around us, in prayers, and in the laughter and grief we share. Our vision: empowered women, self-sustaining and whole.

We save and invest together so that each of us can stand on her own feet, and we equip younger women and youth with the same financial wisdom. From that strength, we reach outward to the vulnerable among us.

What our faith has to do with it

Spirituality comes first among our values. We grow in faith together and with our families, and we pray one another through. It shapes who we serve, and how we treat them.

What we stand for

The values we live by.

Seven things we hold to, in the saving and in the serving alike.

Spirituality

Our faith comes first, and shapes all the rest.

Team spirit

We move together. No sister carries her load alone.

Integrity

We keep our word, with our money and with one another.

Love

The reason underneath everything we do.

Voluntarism

We give our time and ourselves freely, gladly.

Respect

For one another, and for everyone we serve.

Commitment

We stay, season after season, and finish what we begin.

Our leadership

A word from our Chair.

“We give glory to God for LAMC, started in 2017, for the fellowships, the monthly savings, the care for the vulnerable, the personal growth, the outreach, the prayers, and the laughter and grief we share.”
