A sisterhood in Uganda

Powerful women. One heart to serve.

Women of faith, rising together. We save, we grow, we train one another, and we reach out to lift the women and communities around us.

Who we are

More than friends. We are a sisterhood that saves together, grows together, and shows up for the people around us.

Since 2017 we have saved together, grown in faith together, and cared for the vulnerable around us, month after month.

pillars we build on

Our vision

Empowered women, self-sustaining and whole.

What we carry

Six pillars we build on.

Faith at the root, and from it, everything else grows.

  • Spirituality

Our faith is the root of it all. We grow spiritually, with one another and with our families, and we pray each other through.

  • Sisterhood

We are friends first. We hold one another in fellowship, in the saving, in the laughter and the grief alike.

  • Empowerment

We save and invest toward self-sustainability, and we equip youth and women with financial literacy.

  • Collaboration

We work hand in hand, networking with members, organisations, and partners who share the heart.

  • Social impact

We care for the vulnerable: the elderly, widows, child mothers, people living with disability, and the poor.

  • Developmental projects

We build for our members and for the communities we call home.

Why it matters

The need is real, and so is your power to meet it.

In our communities a widow can go a week without a visitor. An elderly woman can run short of her medicine. A young mother can be one setback from losing her footing.

We were never meant to watch this from a distance. When you stand with LAMC, ordinary women can meet a real need right next door.

Who we are
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she laughs without fear of the future.”
Proverbs 31:25

We are women of faith. We love God, we love one another, and we will not look away from a need we can meet.
